Iceland is one of those places that allows you to see the aftermath of chaos. The beauty that transformed from a pure uncontrollable explosion. It is the true meaning behind faith. I’ve always appreciated nature and never fully understood why. I can finally see that nature is the only thing in life that shows us that the universe has a plan, one larger and more beautiful than one can even imagine…
The problem with driving around Iceland is that you’re basically confronted by a new soul-enriching, breath-taking, life-affirming natural sight every five goddamn minutes. It’s totally exhausting.

This is why road tripping across Iceland, should 100% be on everyone’s bucket list. Most people are steered away by the fact that it is cold. And yes, it is definitely cold. But Iceland is one of those places that it is unlike any other place in the world. It is filled with some of the most unbelievable views, breathtaking waterfalls, hot springs surrounded by snow, ice caves, starlit skies and of course we cannot forget the famous, Northern Lights.
Why go to Iceland in January?
I decided to go to Iceland in January for exactly that reason. To see the infamous Northern Lights. And I’m not going to lie and tell you I saw them, because unfortunately I didn’t. It is actually extremely difficult to see them so make sure you do your research ahead of time for best opportunities to view.
