5 Ways To Win Your Morning

The key to conquering your day and sustaining productivity is to WIN your morning. With quarantine limiting people’s activities, travel and ability to work anywhere but their homes most people are experiencing a lack of motivation and the ability to be productive. If you start off your morning by completing a number of tasks, already you are setting yourself up for success and allowing yourself to dedicate more time later in the day for other work, projects and goals you aspire to complete.

I am a busy-bee and these 5 tasks have helped me prosper in growing my online health and fitness business along with CONQUERING day to day to do’s.

So I am not going to include waking up early as one of the 5 but it is a HUGE part of getting stuff done!

A tip: Set an alarm on your phone and put it somewhere far from your bed so you have to get up to turn it off! SUCCESS!

  1. Drink 16-20 Oz of Water right when you wake up (SUPER IMPORTANT).
  2. Daily Affirmations
  3. Read/Listen to Personal Development
  4. Get Your Workout In!
  5. Take a silent minute and brain dump your to do’s/ ideas for the day

It takes 21 days to create a habit and guys these are habits you want to develop in order to conquer your MORNINGS!

Number 1 and why it is so important!

Up to 60% of the adult human body is made up of water. When you are sleeping for 8 hours, you are obviously not consuming any water. Waking up and instantly drinking water will rehydrate your body and also help with digestion.

Number 2 and why it is so important!

Daily affirmations are powerful and positive statements that can help replace unhealthy and negative thinking patterns. It is so important to start each day with your brain in the right headspace. If you want to radiate an uplifting and positive message to the world then you have to practice positive self talk. You can’t pour out of an EMPTY CUP.

Number 3 and why it is so important!

Personal development – I don’t care what it is you are listening to or reading but this task has to be done every day, even if it is only for a few minutes. Personal development means obtaining self-awareness, direction and motivation to perform. If you are lacking motivation or do not know where to begin with a goal throw on a podcast or youtube video that will help you get out of your FUNK!

Number 4 and why it is so important!

WORKOUT! A lot of people have the misconception that a workout means heavy weights or running 6 miles. A workout can be any type of movement that you enjoy. Regular physical activity can improve your muscle strength and endurance. It helps deliver oxygen and nutrients to your tissues therefore, helping your cardiovascular system work more efficiently. THIS MEANS MORE ENERGY, which I know a lot of people have been lacking since quarantine started. Number 5 and why it is so important!

Take a minute every day with a piece of blank paper in front of you: BRAIN DUMP. Anything you think of that you want to do or even ideas swirling around in your brain and write them down. Once you have all of your to do’s/ ideas on paper you can put a plan into action in order to move forward with those goals! READY, SET and GO!

Obviously, you can add in other tasks to help you conquer your morning or just include a task you really enjoy! These are tasks I have implemented into my routine everyday and have seen a dramatic change in my mindset and performance overall!
